Then I took it upon myself to learn how to really blog and build a successful blog.
When you put your mind to achieve something, nature finds a way to connect you with sources that can help you achieve it.
While I was trying to figure out how to grow my blog, I found a guy named Neil Patel.
His blog taught me a lot about blogging and digital marketing in general.
Through him I found out that I needed to install plugins for my wordpress blog.
I did install couple of amazing free WordPress plugins and the result was really awesome.
My traffic increased and I started to see other changes depending on the effect of the installed plugin.

How to find and install a WordPress plugin
- Login to your WordPress dashboard.
- Locate the plugins by the left
- Click on it, you’ll see already installed plugins

This is the most popular wordpress plugin according to wp. It helps your blog get more visitors from search engines.
Although it has pro version but the free version is okay for new bloggers.
Yoast SEO was the first plugins I installed when I started this blog because I understand the traffic I can get from search engines.
This SEO plugin is the best free WordPress SEO plugin, it offers you tips on what to do to increase your on-page visibility.
It also have features that allows you insert keywords in meta description. It is very easy to use.
2. WP form lite
Although this plugin has pro version just like Yoast SEO, you are good with the free version.
As the name implies, WP form is a plugin used to create simple forms for your blog.
You can make different types of form, all of which are very easy to create.
Also a blank form can be created i.e. a form you create by yourself and add your own desired fields.
WP form also offer templates to create forms like simple contact form, newsletter signup form, suggestion form.

It is a very important plugin for every blogger because you want to keep an eyes on how readers visit your blog, the contents they consume more.
This plugin work with Google to bring you complete analysis of your blog.
This will help you understand what your reader love so you can create more related topics for them.
4. Social media and share icons
You have a great post, one that either educates, inspires or entertain your audience but without sharing it won’t be seen by your audience.
This plugin helps your readers share your post, that post they love to their friends on social media.
Sharing your posts gives your blog authenticity so that your backlink increases and subsequently your ranking on search engines.
5. Social feed gallery
Social feed helps you display your Instagram account on your blog.
If you want to show your Instagram feed so that readers can follow you, then install social feed gallery.
This plugin allows you to add multiple Instagram accounts.
Plugins are important for the growth of your blog.
Hence if you want to have a successful blog, you have to install plugins.
It’s that simple.
Fortunately, wordpress have plugins that will help you.
Some of these plugins are free, others have pro version but it doesn’t matter which one you opt for.
It just depends on the features of the plugin.
